Little Pharma Bike Ride At MOCA

Finishing-School organized for the second time an engagement party at the MOCA in Los Angeles. I participated in the first one and it was awesome. This one was just as good. The event started with costume workshop, right outside MOCA where they had everything you can imagine to make your costume. We made costumes symbolizing our favorite pharmaceutical drug. I picked Ambien because I don’t sleep that much. There was a video reporting on some drugs and their effects. After that the bike ride started, they had a couple of stops where they had games and some people talk about the Pharmaceuticals industry. The bike ride was about 8 miles ending at the Fringe in China Town. I wish there were more events like this, and people would get involved. People need to become aware of the power of the pharmaceutical industry, Don’t just let you doctor let you pop a pill for anything you might have.

Norton Simon Museum of Art

Ok so I’ve been going to museums a lot… I just really enjoy it. This time my family and I went to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. We met up with my cousin  Delilah and her family. I had to do a project for my Art History class so this place was perfect for it. I had to write a paper on a piece of art between 1300 to 1700 and Norton Simon has a very nice collection of that time.  It took us 25 minutes to get there from Buena Park which was amazing, so the day was good from the start. Some of my favorite artist are Goya, Picasso, and Van Gogh, and there was a lot of work by them.  For my project I picked “Saint Jerome” by Goya. Well go and experience art people!!

Los Angeles County Museum of Art

In the last month I had the treat to go to Los Angeles more than I have done in my whole live. One of the places is LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which I visited twice in the past month. I can not get enough of walking around art, history, creativity. This museum in particular is huge. It is very diverse, you name it, they probably have it, renaissance, contemporary, photography, sculptures, ceramics. I don’t spent too much time with my parents so it was very nice to take them out on a saturday afternoon and spent some time together. Following there are pictures of a light installation outside. The whole place is just fun to walk around.
