Interesting night..

Last night while it was a busy night at work. I was back and forward with phone calls. Suddenly when I come back to my chair from getting a phone call there was a snail on top of news paper. Where did it come from? how did it get there? I think he came to tell me something… To s-l-o-w- d-o-w-n. When I got off of work, my friend Matt had invited me to go ice blocking with some other friends. well that was a lot of fun. I ate it every time! After ice blocking, and getting wet for rolling on the wet grass after falling, we went to a old building that was being demolished. Matt was going to take pictures of his friend Joyce. The place was wicked. it look like something straight out of a end of the world movie. I didn’t have a tripod or any sort of lighting equipment, but it was awesome being there and I got a few cool pictures.

More of Choche…

Here are some pictures taken by Liliana and Maricarmen Munoz-Najar, my sisters. I find them to be much more organic. they tell a little bit more of the real relationship that we had Choche. This fun little guy that we adopted about two years ago. I said no to him and the beginning, I didn’t want the responsibility, but soon enough Choche became part of the family and part of all of our lives. I love this pictures cause they show how much fun we had with him.

R.I.P. Choche

I don’t have much to say. We adopted Choche about 2 years ago, and fell in love with him. He woke me up almost every morning at 6:00 am. I love that little thing so much and he will leave a huge empty hole in my heart. I never thought losing a pet would be so hard, well he was just another member of my family. I’ll miss him so much.

LA marathon

For the past 5-6 months I have been training to run the Los Angeles Marathon. It all started with the idea of getting in shape and I found the Marathon to be a good goal to strive to. I started with a mile a day. With persistence and a good attitude every week the distances got longer and more intricate. Weeks before the marathon the longest I ran was about 11 and a half miles. I though that my training was not enough, I though it was crazy, and I would not finish 26.2 miles. The night before the Marathon nerves started kicking in, didn’t go to sleep till 1 in the morning. I woke up at 4:00. Thinking I still had time I went back to sleep. Suddenly I wake up as if I had a nightmare. When I saw the time in the TV I almost die out of the surprise, it was 830! ( I had to be there at 7am). I was so angry at myself, I ran to my sisters room and woke her up, told her that I was late and while I was cursing at myself. I thought… “All the time I spent getting ready for this”. I then grab my phone, open it, and then notice it was 5:00AM!!!  I ran to the room and notice that the time was still at 830. it wasn’t the time but it was channel that it was left on. I laughed so hard that left me in a good mood for the rest of the day. My friends Lauren and Brad came to pick me up at 5:30, they just volunteer to do it and where so supportive that I want to say thank you to them, its people like them that motivate me to do things like that. When I got there it was so overwhelming, there was so many people. It got so crowed it that I wished I had stretched earlier cause it was impossible to do anything. Well, the race started and it was all good until mile 18, when I said to myself ” WTF am I doing?” but with with less than 8 miles to go I had to do it. just about mile 23 the thought of giving up cross my mind, but it went away soon enough. I cross the finish line, 5:47 hours later, they gave me the medal and I was done, well not till 3 and a half hours later. My sister that was supposed to pick me up decided not to and I had to wait for my parents that were coming back from San Diego. At the end, it was such a great experience that I will do it again next year.
