My work is the documentation of the personal yet relatable and universal feeling of being a minority, an outsider. Having lived as an illegal immigrant for 13 years, and having just recently had a honest moment with the fact that I am gay, my work investigates and analyzes questions I cannot answer. My work is about relationships: between lovers, mothers and sons, and friends, and how they come to learn to interact in public. I navigate through my surroundings photographing a personal and communal experience of living in a city. As I progress in my photographic practice, I have begun to notice a conversation about identity, culture and displacement.
